Tara Casten, DNP, FNP, is a family nurse practitioner at Naples Women's Center located in Naples, Florida.
Tara graduated from George Mason University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. While working in a critical care setting at INOVA Fairfax Hospital in Virginia, she returned to George Mason to pursue her Doctoral degree. After graduating in 2016, she launched a new career as a Family Nurse Practitioner at a local primary care practice. It was there that she developed a strong passion for women's health, eventually drawing her to join the team at Shady Grove Fertility in 2018. During her tenure there, she helped numerous individuals and families manage the physical and psychological aspects of infertility treatment. She performed a variety of fertility procedures, including intrauterine inseminations, hysterosalpingograms, saline sonograms, and endometrial biopsies. She was also involved in the daily monitoring of patients via transvaginal ultrasound, which sets her apart from other Nurse Practitioners in her field.
In 2023, Tara (along with her husband and daughter) moved from her hometown in Northern Virginia to Southwest Florida. She initially began working at a local vein clinic but found herself longing to get back to her true passion for women's health, leading her to Naples Women's Center. She maintains board certification through the Virginia Board of Nursing and the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
In her free time, Tara enjoys outdoor activities, trying out new restaurants, and, most importantly, spending quality time with her husband and daughter.
